The Irish Beauty Blog Awards 2017

Hi Guys n Gals! As some of you would know, I was nominated for Best Fashion Blog in this years’ Beauty Blog Awards. I was so thrilled that someone thought to nominate me and it came as such a lovely surprise. I actually found out through a follower snapping me congratulations, so thanks for that! If you follow me on snapchat (@WildflowerDBlog) then you will already know about the nominations. I tried not to hound everyone, but a reminder to vote definitely featured once or twice lol.

Anyway, from the longlist, Wildflower Diaries made it to the shortlist and I literally couldn’t be more grateful to all of you for getting me there. I was up against the likes of SoSueMe, Pippa, and JustJordan. It was pretty surreal actually!

The night which was sponsored by Tan Organics (title sponsors) took place in Lillies’s Bordello (main sponsors) and to match the exclusive venue, it was exclusive VIP only invites. I was thrilled to be invited and so had to attend. When we arrived, we were given goodie bags at the door (amazing goodie bags, might I add!), im actually going to go through them tonight on my Insta stories – you can get me on Instagram here.

Some of the other sponsors were:

Alfaparf Milano

SoSu by Suzanne Jackson

Pelo Hairdressing

Fuschia Makeup

Magic Mirror

Jens Couture Cakes

Dingle Distillery

Premier Signs

Skin Logic

Beverley Hills Formula

Specially For You

Portabello Institute

Love Suits (Sales and Hire)

When guests arrived, they had the opportunity of taking a picture on the magic mirror, which snapped your pic and you could then sign it too. There was a free bar too, which was a lovely touch. I may of had a few gins, sure why not!!!!!?

Bloggers and Brands alike also got the opportunity to mingle, and I got to meet some of my favourite brand representatives. It’s lovely to put a face to a brand. There were prizes on the night. Not only for the winners of each category, but also best dressed (Sponsored by Debenhams) and best hair (Sponsored by Pelo Hairdressing) and even Best Selfie!

It was a great night with James Patrice as MC and entertainer. It was lovely to meet so many other influencers (make-up artists, bloggers and models alike). Three gals I got to hang out with were Sinead O’Brien from Sinead’s Curvy Style (who took home the prize for Best Lifestyle Blog), Shauna Lindsay, who also happens to be the prettiest girl I’ve ever seen ,you can check out her instagram here Shauna’s IG (and yes, she is a model), and Sharon from Sharon’s Secrets (who also took home the prize for Best Senior Blog). I also got to hang out with Waterford MUA Diane Everett who was also a finalist and took home the prize for best dressed on the night, if you don’t follow Diane on instagram , I highly recommend that you do- Dianes IG !

My outfit on the night was totally planned around the jacket !!! yep… I got it into my head that I wanted to wear it and so was on the search for a pretty simple white dress or jumpsuit. I got this dress from Miss Selfridge after a personal shopping experience with the lovely Elaine from Debenhams Waterford , I couldn’t rate this service highly enough! Especially if you’re short on time or in general if you’ve a six month old attached to the hip!!! I also picked up the shoes at the same time in Debenhams… (about two days before the event !! )
